Symptoms or Error

XenApp 6.5 HRP1 installation fails with Error 1904 on Multilingual User Interface (MUI) systems.
A XenApp 6.5 server with the German language pack installed fails to install hotfix rollup pack one. In the msi.log file the following error is indicated:
“Error 1904. Module imaperf.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220991”

Solution

Note: Hotfix Rollup 1 for XenApp 6.5 has been replaced and superseded.

Solution - 1

Complete the following steps to resolve this error:

  1. Install XenApp 6.5 HRP1 on the W2K8R2 system without language pack.

  2. When the installation completes, apply the operating system language pack.

Solution - 2

Reduce the amount of characters of the %PATH% environment variable to less than 2048 characters.
